Mitchell Patterson: my key rotates but does not click into any place like run or start and the pin won't go in because of it. what do i do
Joseph salinas: I've got a similar issue just with the ignition switch itself can't seem to find a video on the 87 ranger
Pall Mall: Thanks for the info,I just replaced the switch on my girlfriends 94 Thunderbird.I used a small poultry thermometer to push the little locking pin ,worked great.I really thought it was gonna be a tough repair, took me 4 minutes.
Bob Hughes: I replaced the lock cylinder in my 2008 Ford E250 that was sticking, but that did not entirely solve the problem. The van started okay, then I got stranded miles from home when wiggling the key still did not start the motor. The battery & charging system were tested and in great condition. What do you recommend next?
Chala Charley: helped alot 1990 ford explorer i used a wire coat hangar for the pin
John Albrecht: I have a 1988 ranger is it about the same??
Jusuf Petovic: Thank you
Kahuna Cazares: You're a genius and I love all your videos they're super easy to follow and understand.. move at a great speed
Joe Manrique: These videos are great. Thank you.
Mike Gross: This video saved me $92 installation labor cost. This is exactly how to replace the ignition key lock cylinder on a 1997 Mazda B2300 standard ignition 2wd pickup as well. The thumb locking lever next to the key lock cylinder on the Mazda has no affect on this installation. Standard ignition requires NO programming. Take note warning: Do not rotate the key clockwise in the new key lock cylinder before inserting into the steering column.
rusty bower: Awesome video. I thought it was going to cost me an arm and leg to get this repaired but was able to do it myself. Thanks a bunch!
beardguy45: Great thanks for share I think that is better change the door lock cylinders too just to have a single key to open doors and start the car.
cjz619: Thinking of buying it but I'm not sure if this will fit on my 93 on your link it says 95 and 96 model. Let me know
Al Smith: This was a great vid helped me a lot. Also the bottom of the steering panel can be loosened and moved down for better visability and a small punch is needed.
Steve Brule: can the lock cylinder cause your battery to drain when the car is off? or can it be a loose wire? because i lost my old key, and the locksmith replaced the ignition and now it always drains the battery. thanks.
LazyScoutJace: Wow I had the problem with the engine not turning off. Thank you so very much!
Matthew Evans: Awesome videos. THANKS!
Tracy gray: Thanks for the info. It was very very easy. A lot easier then what we were expecting.
1A Auto Parts: Yes, you would need them to turn the ignition forward. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
Frankie Esquivel: My keys were stolen. Do I need to have the key turned on the ignition in order to remove/replace??
