Kevin O: Smh and smiling. This was exactly my problem and once again, the simplest of solutions worked like a charm. I was almost ready to take it to a shop for repairs but now I get save that money for better things. You're a lifesaver.
Giuseppe Agostinelli: great tips as always! do you have a video or tip on how to adjust the lever that controls the height of the chute? mine is like the one in this video, it has the 2 cables that are attached to the lever that controls how far the chute throws. i really have to yank on that handle! ive tried spray lubricant, but doesnt help. its almost like the cables have stretched. was hoping theres a way to adjust them. thanks
George Courter: You totally solved the problem on my Troy Bilt. I must have messed up the adjustment with some slush last winter. With your help I fixed the problem in about 5 minutes and saved some cash. Thank you very much!
brenda DILLON: me too tone of agro!! thanks!
James C: Thanks for the video! Saved me a TON of aggravation
Michael Snell: this solved my problem today! thank you very much!!
Kyle Roberts: Such an easy fix and I never noticed the bolts to adjust this. Thanks for pointing this out! I spent a few years fighting this in the snow and I thought the plastic on the chute was too worn but it just needed adjusting.
Shirley Lanfear: Thank you so much! Your video shows very clearly how to solve my problem.
ka1133: Perfect ... just what I needed. Thanks much!!
Matthew Wilson: great video thanks for the tips!
carl mann: Well done video. I am learning a lot! Can you explain how to replace the chute tilt guide, bracket and two cables? I have a 10HP MTD 30 inch. Similar to what you have in this video. thanks
Joe Slavin: great video thanks for the tips!
donyboy73: try white lithium grease spray or silicone spray you may also want to lubricate the chute where it tilts
jason mahoney: Hey Dony,
I own a Murray Snowblower. Getting ready for the winter. Everything works great on it except the chute up and down cable constantly freezing up on me starting at -25. then at -15 it is ok again. I have sprayed WD40 down the cable before to displace moisture but it is still freezing. Is there a spray that you know off that could eliminate this issue. Thanks for sharing all your videos.
chapel976: @sandmanJB no. it hasn't snowed this year for me to use it yet though.
Jim B: @chapel976 Did you ever get an answer to this? my chute continuously spins
donyboy73: @ERAZ1981 check the gear adjustment at the bottom of the chute and make sure it is well lubricated
ERAZ1981: I have a very old John deere 1032. The chute will rotate fine to a point but then it just stops. I have to wiggle it to get it to turn any farther. It always gets stuck at the same angle. Any ideas?
chapel976: how do you handle a snowblower chute that won't stay? my Ariens ST724 doesn't have those big grooves. so what happens is if I want it to stay in a certain position and the handle is UP, it will eventually fall DOWN and the chute will move
ringbolt9: all your stuff is so good! ive fixed everything just by watching your vids. my snow blower is jumping from 1st gear to reverse.........any ideas what i can check? thanks
