Xuan Huang: Great demonstration. I have a question about the wiper. Is the wiper motor
directly connected to the wiper switch via connectors and wires? Is there
any socket/panel between them? I believe my motor and switch are good. What
could be the problem? FYI, my car is 07 Ford Crown Vic. The wiper stopped
Michael Noil: Question: My wipers don't work... I just replaced the wiper motor and they
still arent working. The fuse are all good also. Could this wiper switch be
the problem even though my signals and everything else is working normal???
Please help asap!
Robert Mackay: Thank you for this excellent demonstration/instructional video. I wouldn't
have attempted it, until I saw how easy it actually is. I have an 07
Mercury GM and replaced the switch by following these steps, with one
exception. I did not remove the ignition cylinder, as it was not needed for
my application. It may depend on specific model, but one less step if you
can get away with it.
Frank Jarman: My high beams were not working and now my headlights don't turn on. I have
tail lights and markers but no head lights. I am going to start by
replacing this switch.
Dan Craft: when i turn my turn signals on they light up but they stopped flashing.
when i hit my hazards though they work as intended no problems. what is
this? ive tried to replace the lcm and that didnt fix it although it was
used so i may have got another bad one im not sure. any help would be
appreciated 04 grand marquis
David Cox: how do I know if its my switch or my windshield wiper motor? Wipers work
on high, but only occasionally on intermittent and don't always park where
they are supposed to. thanks.
ogyoda: Will this apply to a 1998 Lincoln Towncar also? My wipers went out. I dont
know if it is the motor or the switch.
slednck3: r u replaceing this because the highbeam is touchy cause mine high beam is
really touchy on my vic
ncb1gdog: This video was very helpful for me as well. I have a 1999 Town Car, and the
only difference was that there are 7mm bolts where the T20 Torx bolts are
in the video. This job took about 40 minutes.
1A Auto Parts: You may want to inspect the switch to see if it's heating up and needs to
be replaced. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
rockchub: To check my fuse box. Will it be the same procedure for my 1996 crown vic
or a little different
charlie collins: my turn signals work...my prob is i can hear motor for wipers but they only
move a couple inches, delay wipers went out before reg wipers quit
completely any ideas? thanx...
1A Auto Parts: The switch is normally what controls high beams. The issue might be that it
is just a worn out connection and just needs to be changed out.
1601DRR: Excellent video! My wipers turn on and off without the wiper switch being
activated. Isn't there a module controller in addition to the lever switch?
Any suggestions as to how to troubleshoot these two systems? Thanks. CTB
agent96: Quick question, is the procedure the same on a 2000 lincoln town car ?
carlosmoreno12: So if your windshield wipers park in the up position will that fix the
1A Auto Parts: You may want to check the fuses and also the brake light switch, to see if
it's working correctly. Hope this helps you out.
ncb1gdog: This video was very helpful for me as well. I have a 1999 Town Car, and the
only difference was that there are 7mm bolts vs. T20 Torx bolts. I also
found it a bit easier to take the top cover of the steering column out as
well. This gave me better access to the electrical connectors which are a
bit of a pain. This job took about 40 minutes.
1A Auto Parts: You're welcome.Thank you for checking out our videos.

Nick243120: I have a p71 that's I just bought, it fail state inspection because the
high beams wont stay on when the lever is forward but if I hold it back
they work. Could this be because of the switch??
Chris B: will this also fix ur turn signals not canceling when u make a turn?
1A Auto Parts: If it's the switch that has gone bad, then it should fix the problem.
1A Auto Parts: So that you can take the ignition cylinder out to service the wiper switch.
slednck3: just one question why did u take out the ignintion and why dint u pull that
panel on the left next to the steering colum for more room
1A Auto Parts: Your Lincoln may be a different process.
1A Auto Parts: @officalTZ Thank you for your purchase. Our YouTube video will walk you
through the entire process. Have a great day!
Raqe Tube: that's really helpful
1A Auto Parts: It sounds like something could be wired wrong, or you may want to look for
a cross connection of possible pinched wire.
Craig Pitcher: Great video..I own a 2003 Crown Victoria. My problem is no headlights. Any
help will be greatly appreciated. I was told it's the multi switch, but i'm
not sure. The reason I think it's the multi switch is one time the lights
went out but came back on when i used the signal lights.
1A Auto Parts: If there's a short in the switch wich was causing the issue, than this
might resolve the problem for you.
1A Auto Parts: It should, the lever inside of your original one is more likely worn out.
anthony allen: well i did this on my 03 grand marquis and my wipers only work when i press
the switch to make the liquid spray on the glass and at first i thought it
was the switch so i pulled it back out and got another one and im still
having the same problem what do i do
debrwood9908: I have an 2003 Crown Vic and the wipers only work on high. If I buy this
lever and replace it, will this cure the problem?
1A Auto Parts: It may be a different procedure on that vehicle than what's shown in the
picture. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
1A Auto Parts: @slednck3 You need to pull the ignition in order to remove the turn signal
switch, on this application. The other panel didn't need to be removed.
Nick243120: Okay I brought the switch filled your steps, they were very helpful, but
when I put the switch in an test it, there still was no high beams. I
traced a green wire from the driver side lamp up to the from passenger side
under the hood and there are cut wires along with the green one. Could that
be the problem if so what do I do??
JOHNNY B GUITARS: love your video. i have a 2003 police interceptor, the brake lights dont
work but the third brake light and all turn signals and night time lights
work. the right turn signal flashes faster than normal. i checked fuses,
bulbs and brake pedel switch and they are good. does this look like i need
to change the multifuction switch?
ronv11: I just did this job in under an hour. ( turn signal switch would not
cancel, spring broke inside) This is a great video thanks it saved me about
$150-$200. The only thing i did different was I took the trim off the
steering column first, then took out the ignition cylinder out. I thought
it was easier to see the little button you have to push to remove it.
1A Auto Parts: @RealDoubts Yes you would need to do everything shown in the video. We
carry the replacement wiper switch for your 03-10 Ford Crown Victoria on
our website with free shipping. Here's a link to them on our website.
1A Auto Parts: You will have to splice the wires together to make a proper connection.
Steven Porter: Hi, great video, I subbed just because of this video. I was wondering how
similar this would be on a 96 Grand Marquis? I have a problem where my
passenger brake light randomly won't light up but when i wiggle the turn
signal switch it lights up. I have little experience on doing electrical
work in cars. Please reply. Thanks in advance.
bjlindsey1: 2001 Lincoln Town Car. If the wipers AND washer quit at the same time, is
it the switch?
1A Auto Parts: You may want to check for a burnt out bulb, or possibly a blown fuse or a
bad switch. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
joethomas123: Thank you very much!
1A Auto Parts: The idea is the same but the switch is going to be different between the
two model years
bjlindsey1: The dimmer and turn signals seem to work fine.
xianhj: I have a CVPI that recently has the wiper on and cannot be stopped. At
first, it was activated randomly and occasionally but now it is constantly
on at a medium speed. Is it caused by the wiper motor or switch? Any idea?
officalTZ: I just ordered a multifunction switch from 1aauto.com i havent recieved it
yet but i have watched this video 20times and i cant wait to install it.
thanks for this helpful video.
OSOFANTASTICO1: my turn signal wont work, but my wipers and hybeams work fine what can be
the problem. i have a 1999 marquis
