1A Auto Parts: @Grant Williams Here's a link to the turn signal switches that we carry on
our website for a 1997 Chevy Blazer, there are also videos in with the
product that will show you how to install the switch on your application.
Hope this helps you out.
1A Auto Parts: +charlie fon young You Would need to match all of the options that your
turn signal currently has, because the wiring may be different. Here's a
link to the one shown in this video on our website.
Dylan G: Great video! I hope I don't have to, but if I do have to replace it I'm
referring to this video for sure! My '96 Jimmy is having an issue where the
blinkers light up but stay on instead of blinking. The hazard lights blink
life they're supposed to. Can you point me in the right direction, please?
Jona Rackley: Was wondering how long it took you to remove the screw from the junction
block at 3:40? Ive been unscrewing it for a while and dont see the bolt
move much at all
mudmonsterchevy89: I have 98 jimmy and when I went to change the multifunction switch the
green plug that is supposed to be on the steering column that wasnt shown
how to get to it in the video was dangling and I cant find a place to plug
it in at.
john g: My question is, if my sonoma singles the way it should but fails to release
after I turn the wheel, do I need to replace the switch or the cancel cam?
Everything else on the switch works fine, and the condition is the same
left or right.
turbinesnake: Just want to thank you for your video on how to replace the multifunction
turn signal switch my 2ooo jimmy the flasher was clicking and when i would
turn the wipers on or the high beam the clicking would stop.thanks for the
video it made the job a breeze thanks again.....
Greg Gosline: Does this switch also affect the brake lights? I had a auto shop tell me
my brake lights were not coming on because the turn signal switch needed to
Jose Andaverde: Will this be the same process for a 95 GMC Sierra
charlie fon young: Ok I replaced mine in my 2001 blazer but got one at the junkyard off a
6speed s10 but it did not have cruise control is that affecting it because
it was working for awhile now keep blowing fuses and cannot get the switch
off now it is stuck?
El Matador: Thanks, step by step, super helpful!!!
Oliver Avalos Vega: Is this the same tutorial for a Chevrolet s10 1995?
billyfrmhill: What does the green plug do at 5:30?
devin63091: Can the multi-function switch have an affect the brake lights also?
Mark W: I followed this video step for step to replace the turn signal arm on my
GMC Sonoma. This video is dead accurate with every step and every bolt
size. Good info on how to do the job correctly. Thanks
jangofan 1: Would this be the same for a 1997 blazer?
victory13able: Thanks 1A Auto for your help with projects like these. Had to replace one
on my 2000 blazer. Could not find a E-5 socket but a 5/32 worked just fine.
Thx again & keep up the great work...
Sunfleur1988: Awesome! Thanks for sharing/showing your knowledge! Going to do my switch
on my 98 Blazer myself thanks to this video! Just subscribed!
As Dsasdw: i have 2000 s10 when i put the hazard lights on and hit the brakes the
hazard lights stay solid till i let go of the brakes do u think i need to
replace hazard switch
Dakota Stawinski: My break lights wont light upwhen I push the breaks would the turn signal
switch cause this or am i looking in the wrong place.
Ken Ingram: Great video. I had a little trouble getting the top cover over the
steering column off because my S-10 doesn't have tilt steering and I had to
pull my steering wheel to get to the one T-25 bolt out holding the part in.
I was able to rent the steering wheel puller at my local parts store
instead of buying one.
Seth: What is this cancel mechanism you are talking about for the turn signal
that keeps clicking?
Bobby Goralczyk: is this the same tutorial for a 1996 gmc jimmy s-15
81hightower1: My 96 blazer, when i turn the wiper blades on, they go crazy, at first they
start fine if i want slow speed it's fine but 2 minutes later they go full
speed and when i turn them off some times they stop in the middle of the
windshield, do i need to replace the whole thing or is it the little
HagerVIDZ: my blazers turn signal clicking is continuous unless i press brake. i see
on a few forums to spray down stalk with electrical spray to hit contacts.
i looked for a relay and saw none so should i spray stalk?
dmcfarland80: You're my hero - thank you
1A Auto Parts: It could happen, you may want to check the brake light switch schematic to
see if it's part of the circuit. You may also want to check the brake light
switch if you haven't already. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com
Chris Leon: Hi 1aauto.....ok my problems is that weather I have my running lights on or
off my driver side brake light wont brighten or turn on when I brake but
all other lights work..... when you press on the cruise control switch they
seem to work.... but its only the driver side brake light I have already
checked my bulbs too
jack spade: my hazards work but turn signals dont and my fuse is good is there seperate
flashers for a 97 blazer or is it the lever???
1A Auto Parts: Hi John, If it uses this style turn signal, than it may be the same or a
similar process. We carry new turn signals for many different types of
vehicles on our website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
1A Auto Parts: We do carry a new ignition switch for your 96 GMC Sonoma Part Number:
1AZIS00024 , we do not have an auto repair video that shows you how to
replace it. We'll keep this request in mind in the event that we need to
make this repair in the future. 1aauto.co 888-844-3393
Jerry Ferris: Does the 1995 Blazer differ much form these? All I have seen as examples
are 2000++ models and they did change a bit once they hit 2000 - thanks!
1A Auto Parts: You might be able to.
1A Auto Parts: You would need to turn the car alarm off in order to start the car.
1A Auto Parts: Unfortunately the wiring is built into the steering wheel so you have to
get the exact same steering wheel as the one you have.
1A Auto Parts: It should be the same if not the same procedure as the one shown in the
video. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
1A Auto Parts: It may be.
1A Auto Parts: With the newer vehicles, the flasher is built into the turn signal switch
Bonnie Hoenow: Perfect video! I didn't have the E5 star bolt socket...4 mm socket
worked. The steering tilt lever thingy slowed me up a couple of minutes just
because I thought I'd end up snapping it but it was tougher than I
thought...a wider flat head screwdriver would probably have been easier.
You nailed the video. By the way, when I was done, I threw in an oil change
and didn't I spot the rad leaking??? Couldn't even celebrate my success.
Off to the next !AAuto.com video. Seriously
AustenLynnes: I replaced the turn signal in my chevy blazer and my turn signals won't
work and I found a connector unplugged behind the junction box. Would that
be the problem because I don't know where it connects to
Christopher Keiper: You guy at 1aauto....awesome. Both of my vehicles you guys have a ton of
videos on. I was wondering if you knew, but my left blinker blinks fast
when the lights are on, but only when the lights are on....so would that be
a problem with the light turn switch?
Giovanni Avenoso: Do you guys have a how to video on repalaceing the ignition switch for this
modle as well? I have a 96 Sonoma that i need to switch out the igntion
1A Auto Parts: It could be the flasher acting up. It should be located on the fuse panel.
Fritz Homeburger: I have a 2001 Blazer, S10 and had the problem with the brake lights that
did not work in the tail lights area but the brake light above the tailgate
worked fine. I went to the Chevy dealer and they indicated that the recall
for this problem was already done. So I ordered the turn
signal/cruise/wiper switch and installed it after watching this video a
number of times. It works perfectly now and the brake lights work just
fine. Thanks for the good video.
johnnieb15: i replace mine and trip the security light now it only turns over but wont
start is there anyway i can fix this or bypass it....Please Help
1A Auto Parts: The concept for this will be the same where you will have to remove the
steering column cover but you will have less to tackle with the lever not
1A Auto Parts: You might have a bad turn signal switch.
1A Auto Parts: If you watch 5:24 we describe where it's hidden. It's on the right of the
column up and under the dash. Hope this helps you out.
Blazed Blazer: I have a 99 Blazer with airbaf and steering wheel controls, could i swap
the steering wheel from a none steering wheel control to mine? (and keep my
steering wheel controls)
