WTFMang: For anyone having a hard time getting the bushing off I had the same issue
just heating from the sides for 25 min. Like someone mentioned earlier use
the heat gun on the front for a few minutes and it slides right off.
Anderw Marcell: Thank you.
Luann Casillas: Great video!! perfectly clear and informative. but like everyone else
wondering; the name of the sound track please?
Timothy W.: i pulled mine off with my hands. bushing sight and all. took a brush and
cleaned off the locktight abd presto ne sight went on
Arcaneshadows: I used a heat gun on its max setting for over 5 minutes several times, the
metal bushing fought me like crazy, and once I got it removed I find I'm
the proud owner of a Sub 2K with grooves cut into the metal by the bushing,
one very deep. So, I've ruined my weapon trying to put on this GD sight.
hutningnola: PUT SOME HEAT ON THE FRONT SIGHT IT SLIDES RIGHT OFF freak THE DREMEL TOOL
J Carter: How did you assure that the site was perfectly vertical?
shtbrd: How do you laser align the sight? How hot does the heat gun get?
Charles Phariss: WOW!! I just got one of these things and I love it. I in visioned mine
someday looking like this would you be so kind as to list the accessories;
flash light, four grip, picatinny.... Thank you for your time
Michael Villalpando: Cool video! Just fold the gun and it will line up
2bRedE: @Kliffton415 Thanks.
wontogo99: Great video - liked the music too - what is the track?
John SmithDE: use feeler gage 10 thoughsants to set gap for folding lockup
RooR2027: whydid you choose to remove the bushing? why not use the option to use the
adapter that allows for it?
str19691: Does the gun still fold and lock with the new site?
2000xlt: is that muzzle comp compression fitted? It seem like you just slid it on
the put on the front sight?
Christian E: Yes, a company called tandemkross makes it. Flip up, metal, lifetime
Mike Ryan: Geez.. If you people would read all the comments you'd get most the
answers! Except for the track to the stupid song! Haha
fhill3227: Great video, how does the muzzle brake secure to the barrel?
dippermouth2: this one of the most enjoyable videos I've seen on YouTube.......no
talking, great music, clear crisp video......a pleasure to watch in
addition to being very informative......wish they were all this well done
congrats ...thanks for taking the time.........BTY .what was the sound
IWannabeJew: Can you explain what solution you are using for having a red dot sight that
I assume quick mounts but retains zero? Also, what tip do you have for
making sure the new front sight is perfectly vertical? Additionally, how
did you figure out where to position the sight in order to get the lock to
work? Trial and error?
Arcaneshadows: Why did you feel the need to put a front sight on your Sub 2k when you
already had a Red Dot sight added? I'd like to know before I order one for
nightopper7: would you do everything youve done on my sub-2000 if i paid you?
2bRedE: @genevacoast You need to get it hot enough to swell the bushing and break
SuperRoninronin: so i saw the stock sight was on there really good, u dont need to attach
the new sight any more than just the screws it comes with? it doesent shift
Smudde1: That music is either from some lane show on Animal Planet or an 80's
2bRedE: Not that I'm aware of. However I have seen some personal mod that worked
out well online.
2bRedE: First rule; One is none, two is one. Always have a back up plan.
the308capital: @2bRedE Thanks. I installed the Red Lion front sight and used a laser to
align it. I'm going to make a vid of the finished product with the link to
your vid showing how to install it. Thanks for posting, it helped.
2bRedE: Yes but you can use lock-tite.
1776Rosco: Good question. I have a laser bore sight that I would use.
Jesse Sisolack: Wow, they really put that front sight on. I actually like the front sight,
but I would had prefered alluminum rather then ABS. That is a very
customized rifle for sure.
Timothy W.: @2bRedE i have been called mongo in the past.... ;)
2bRedE: @Jesses001 Yeah, something more stout is what I was looking for.
2bRedE: @wavesaw21 Flash light; Surefire #M600A Scout Light...... Fore grip; UTG #
MNT-GRP 003..... Riser; UTG # RS05L..... Picatinny; Kel-Tec Quad Rail.....
Front Sight; R7 Red Lion Precision..... Red Dot; Leatherwood 1X30
High-Lux Optics Model # ES1X30TP
Shooter: @2bRedE Thanks for your response.
2bRedE: Yes, I demo'd it in the video.
2bRedE: @BowsandGuns No problem, Thanks.
2bRedE: @the308capital With the use of a red dot very easy. Just sight your gun in
at the range with a red dot and adjust your sight to it.
the308capital: I have a Sub 2K, I love the gun and hate the front sight. How easy was it
to correctly align the front sight so it wasn't canted? I'm considering
this upgrade so long as I don't F-up the sight. Once you cut that factory
sight you're all in and I want to make sure I can do it right. Thanks.
Anderw Marcell: Nice job. Is there a better rear sight than the factory plastic slab? Thanks
Anderw Marcell: Thank you
Sophisticat ed Cat: @IWannabeJew hi.
Shooter: How does the muzzlecomp perform? Is it effective in reducing muzzle climb?
Thanks for the video.
wremines: Very good vid. I did this to mine months ago and you "describe" the process
perfectly. Red Lion does make the best stuff. Quality equipment.
2bRedE: @2000xlt No, the muzzle comp is not compression fitted. Once the sight body
is tighened around the muzzle comp, it secures it in place.
John SmithDE: Wagner digital heat gun set for 350 on low fan came off with no deformation
of orginal front sight.
2bRedE: I use a riser; UTG # RS05L that is eayily removable and reattaches and
retains zero fairly well. However, the gun is basically a room broom. For
long range shots I'll mostly stick with the AR sight.
