Did this video help you?

Teresa Adams: My hood has no clear coat, just like this video. I want to do the whole hood. What should I use on the base paint to blend the color because the clear coat came off in stages so some spots are lighter than others?  Do I use a compound and a buffer? Please advise (include product name you recommend) Thanks

Sevin.: I say stick to your mechanic...😂

charles brewer: No garden hose wth lmao

John Heath: Do a half ass job get a half ass result... this guy is a joke

la diabetes: ey are you pharraway

Steve Adams: I LOVE that; "The advantage of having a crappy car I guess."
LMAO! That's true ! Very very true!

Kriben Naidoo: Ratchets please will you make a video on the use of body filler, but more especially, the usage of body filler to keep/maintain/restore body lines (after body damage). I feel that it will complement as well as add completion to your video series on spray painting and restoration. Thanks

John Smith: I have an old truck that's not worth painting. I'm going to clear coat only thanks to your video.

Rick Simpson: Minwax polyurethane,,,, with sparse,,,. Works real good,, much cheaper,,. The spars is what gives it its exterior flexibility,, and fade resistant,,. It's about $9 a can at your local hardware,,, for a car that bad you can just buy it by the quart ,, and roll it on with a weenie roller,,. The bad thing about a car with clear coat is once it starts peeling and getting the white flaking it just keeps growing and growing so touch it up as soon as you see a bad spot,, and a can of the minwax polyurethane with sparse will last on your shelf if it's kept warm for many years,,. !!!

rupe53: For those asking how many cans of paint are necessary, it depends on the amount of dissolved solids in the mix and what color you are trying to cover. IOW, changing color from white to yellow wont need as much paint (# of coats) to cover as white over black, where you may need 3 coats to have it look even. Also, cheap brands don't cover well (less dissolved solids) so may need more coats. I did the roof of a small van that was roughly 5 ft by 12 ft with 7 cans in 2 heavy coats. That's roughly 60 sq ft so 9 sq ft per can. The down side to using spray bombs is moving fast enough to keep a wet edge and avoiding "spattering" as the can reaches empty while you are holding the can on an angle, which is what you need to do on a roof or hood. Save the partial cans for the side of the vehicle where you can hold them upright and quickly move to a fresh can for that roof or hood. Matter of fact, pre-shake all of your cans in advance (at least a full minute each) to avoid dry edges while you work. Also, shake each can for a few seconds after every 30 seconds of spraying. You will thank me later.

Judge TK: Right on Skoweex I guees im not the only one.

Judge TK: Good points to know and you tought me something. But I do think you didn't use the same overlap spray on the right as you did on the left.

K Me: An "expert" using car washing soap as degreaser, and not knowing the difference between between 1k and 2k paint.
The 1k paint is easily damaged by solvents and fuel, as it will re-dissolve. 2k paint is hardened by the chemical reaction with its hardener, and cannot be re-dissolved.

Darrell Stills jr: This is got to be one of the dumbest videos I have seen that is not how you repaint a car all you did was make a crapy looking car look craptier

Josefina Counts: Love this!! Why would we not paint that hood before applying the clear oat?

Big Rudy Torres: Lmao good videos man that mask part was funny

E Beaulieu: Doomed at the beginning. Trying to beat doing a paint job? The car isn't worth a lot should of done the other side with  150 grit to 320 grit sanding then just sprayed on a single stage paint.

CryptoPumpingConservative Jason: Just let it die in peace

Chris Romero: So, I can't just by 10 cans of spray paint and go to town...

PrissyPatriot: I am learning so much from your channel, having just come across it. Last weekend I fixed the clearcoat using 2k on my Saab and it looks great. I watched the video 4 x to make sure I got it right. Thanks so much!
