Eme Eleonu: I bought one of these simple access controls for my door. I came with a "Low Temperature Electric Bolt". I have wired everything up as illustrated in the documentation (Chinese)... Only one snag. The Strike wont work. I presume its a NO lock but even though the power unit and key pad send the right trigger to unlock the door (checked the NO & NC terminals with meter), the bolt still wont budge. Do you have any clues as to what I can do? and 2ndly, is there a way to "Jimmy" a NO lock to a NC one?
Charlie Reynolds: but how do get out
Anthony Yotov: i know this it almost all the class room doors in my school im 6th gradin my room its broken yeah
Omar Smith: In secure systems only an RFID reader and/or keypad are present on the outside of the door - the electrical contacts that operate the strike should be totally inaccessible from the outside so that it is not possible to bypass the unit in any way.
Wicked Computer Rescue: Still Awesome though
Wicked Computer Rescue: Still doesnt Stop Anyone. What You Need Is a Electric Door Relay Output Module. This Isolates and Prevents A Bypass Attack Like this

Kawa Mall: NO and NC electric strikes do the same thing, except for in the instance of a loss of power. When power is supplied they will both remain locked until you use proximity key fobs, ect.
Juan Golfarini: A chime is continuously ringing. How can I reset o silence this. A total reset is possible?.
asmoxbaby: these are just an upgraded version of the old korby keypads....easily defeated all day long!!!!!
asmoxbaby: you dont want rfid on lockers..something like this unit is easily defeated all day.
asmoxbaby: is that the relay on the reader board? i can just take off the reader and short the Common and Normal Open..and boom im in! woo hoo!
AC5881: oh i see... but both nc or no can be used on the same box..
thank you very much... that is very helpful
Kawa Mall: NO remains locked during loss of power supply. NC requires power to stay locked. When power is lost (such as a blackout), NC will remain unlocked until power is restored. Electric Strike that is NO rated may not be compliant with your local building / fire safety code. We personally feel that NC rated electric strike is safer. Buyer should check with their local safety code before making decision to buy a NC or NO rated electric strike.
AC5881: if i want a door always close and would only open if when i use proximity.. do i need NO or NC?

riz chelsea: Thanks for sharing this video about RFID Door Lock Access Control installation.

LOCKPSRMT5A which is available in our website.
DD2417: How would I wire an NC strike to a battery or DC power adapter? Because obviously batteries and DC wall plugs don't have all the connections like on this power supply.
