Rocky Dang: that is a beautiful rifle, ima try and make mine look liek that
The Beast Within: Nice, but i perfer the original stocks. If you're gonna do anything to the
Mosins, just refurbish the original stocks (lightly sand, stain and
waterproof with tung oil).I love my M38.I bought mine at a local gun store
for 250 bucks and made it my project gun.I hand sanded the shellac off it
and re-stained it,then put a S&K mount on it with a long eye relief handgun
scope turning it into a scout rifle and then getting a "sniper bolt"
installed on it.BTW,Mosin Nagant is pronounced MO-seen Nah-GON.
meastt: @vabch82 I cut it down to 20inches. It has performed well at this length.
Good luck and post a video of the final result!!
crzzymnn911: I bet a synthetic stock really lightens it up.
ScarletAvatar: Wow, that is in extraordinary shape! Not sure I trust a bolted-on bolt
VDaySniper14: Why do people comment negatively about what it does to the gun, you didn't
have to watch this video you did it on your own accord. I think it looks
beautiful and breaths new life into the old battle weapon and gives it a
new purpose. Great Job!
bbnguyen92: That's a really nice mosin
Tactical870: @Tactical870 I meant gas relief hole, for blown primers. just thought i'd
clear that up.
meastt: @ MrCperrycb... I felt the same way about the ATI bolt kit at first but
when I installed the bolt I added JBWeld to assist the hold and I also
added thread sealant to the threads. So far I have put about 200 rounds
through it and it's as strong as day 1. So far so good!! Thanks for the
20thcenturyfilmdocs: Aw man, sporterized? Well, at least it doesn't have rails on it and crap
Tactical870: Great video. Now I'm thinking about doing that to my 1891/30 Mosin, and
buying an older one with the hex receiver to leave original. What parts of
the original did you keep? Do you still have to deal with the firing pin
protrusion issue after you modernize it? Does your Mosin have a gas port to
eliminate that problem?
warrgri: i have one too..all original, but going to do the same thing. Its a
shooter! looks great!
meastt: @phaqu22, I had the barrell cut down to 20inches and the front sight was
removed when that happened. I removed the rear sight by tapping out the
retaining pin at the base.
yamarider4: looks great, is that the ATI scope mount as well?
murderfase82: What kinda scope mount is that? I wanna pick up one and make a pig gun out
BALJIT147: most people would call it heresy but \i think it's beautiful
Jupiter6317 .: Suggestion custom camo paint job
Shane Foster: How did you remove the sights?
jrtaylor219: If only i could hear what you were saying.... People have real problems
with turning up their damn audio
heckathornmike86: my ati stock makes my gun look bent how do i fix that?
vabch82: Very nice looking build friend. Quick question, how much did you cut off
the barrel. Your setup is exactly what I'm wanting to do to my '38 izzy
meastt: @warrgi Thanks! Aren't they a blast to shoot.....literally!
MrCperrycb: nice job on the sorterized i just wanted to ask if that ati bolt
modification is shaky thats what i hear about it allot
Ethan Middleton: ive actually had the best results with the mil surplus steel core... i
thought it would be bad for accuracy.. try that ammo, i ordered mind from
asarendars: I was looking for a cheap hunting rifle, I knew a nagant was what I would
do but I just found out about the ATI stock, and its perfect. I might do a
different bolt handle though, a bent one.
meastt: @asarendars After its all said and done, I would recommend the turn down
bolt. Its the only piece on my gun that looks less "finished". Post a video
of the finished product!!
