Smoove Bobby: why buy a prepaid phone service and complain about data speed.......clearly
you cant afford a service with a contact.......go sit down, dont nobdy care
about that crap
dsm1580: That was sancho calling haha
Zully Delarosa: um every phone company throttles... its a way of letting everyeone share
data... every company throttles no matter who you go with... my experience
with straight talk has been good but im mostly on wifi anyway...
Cesar Aguero: First month on ST and im already looking to switch to tmobile, their
throttling bs really gets on my nerves...i called a week ago to remove the
throttle and it only worked for a week...not worth it!
Lakerboy2202: Does anyone know if the throttling ends when ur billed at the end of the
kevin emry: you need to go into ur apn settings and delete ur proxy address for ur
data....that is how they track ur data....i have st and i used 13gb last
month....use my fone for internet
Chris Lea: T-Mobile Straight Talk sim cards have no theottling or data caps, while
AT&T has a data cap of 2 gb.
Charles Shaw: "fake Carrier" is the name of the Cydia program that lets you change the
name of the carrier. I have an Iphone 3Gs and it now says AT&T and not H20
Kiyonte Butler: Straight talk throttles it to 64 kbps after you use 2.5 gb of your allowed
data. Its still unlimited and h20 is on the att network and depending on
your straight talk sim you could be on att to.
tmobileg: Hi Marcel, what can you update us on the status of your wife's Straight
Talk Wireless service throttling after you conferred with the Tracfone
resolution team? Thank You.
jpnm81: They throttle after 1.3 gigs of data which has been my experience after
auditing my own data usage. Galaxy nexus
inikkor: hi. I have the same issue. I called in and still no change... Any way to
Blake Adao: I tried to email you! Email is invalid.
stormfurry: you can shape traffic without freaking people over(unless a lot of people
are on the same section)... companies choose to freak people over because it
saves money.... it has nothing to do with sharing....
ITzYoUrBoy Trevion: they throttling me too and im on a iphone 5.. i had straight talk for 8
months n now this throttling stuff is getting annoying...
Marcel Barth: Im having the same problem. Ive called them several times spending hours on
the phone with no results. I assume I used too much data but I was never
warned, just throttled. I also did a sim swap but did not help. I like my
Straight Talk Service but this is irritationg. I'd even be willing to pay a
little more to get "True" Unlimited without all their restrictions of use.
Message me if anyone has a solution for this.
DJ Trill: Lol 45 bucks watchu expect
Lakerboy2202: Does any1 know if throttling ends at en of month after billing?
xxnothingpurexx: They trottled my iPhone 4 last month and I thought they would lift the
throttle my next biling cycle but they never did. I wish straight talk
would just give you 2 gigs of data each month and not throttle you until
you cross the line
D. Jain: Thanks for the great response. You are 1 step closer to having me as a
tmobileg: I also have an iPhone 4s with the BYOP (AT&T SIM Card). Since the start of
service in Sept I've used the Speed Test app with results in the range of 5
Mbps to 7 Mbps. Now for the last 24-hours I'm getting speed tests of 0.23
Mbps. I've called ST and they claim they are not throttling my data.
Straight Talk = Liars.
Brand0n777: My throttled iPhone 4S on ST is getting 0.3 Kb/s
Ivan Fernandez: Unknown Number your wife is cheating
crocpa: The speed you are getting is pathetic. Switch to another company like
bdyftns: I'd rather pay more for AT&T or Verizon than keep going through this. My
speed tests with ST were slower than this videos.
xxnothingpurexx: Where on cydia did your wife get the straight talk carrier logo
mr energitic: Dont buy any straight talk iphone waist of money if u use the internet i
live in va and they slow me down to a crawl at end of the month its
terrible worst 400 spent
Bri Barl: They throttle down to around 300k when you reach the "unlimited cap" of
2gig. Put a meter on your phone and then call (not email) them and tell
them to unthrottle and they usually apologize and fix it until next month.
D. Jain: How much data did you use? Did you go over 2GB in a 1 month span? I'm only
asking cause if the individual is not a heavy data user; this may not be as
attitudewithoutacause: T Mobil was ok at best for the service.Their billing was pathetic . My bill
kept getting higher by the month. ATT was the same . Verizon's service
rather sucks. but the bills always remain the same.
SaraST8: Hi Lakerboy2202, my name is Sara from Straight Talk Wireless. Yes, your
data speed will go back to normal on your next billing cycle. For you not
to experience being throttled, you need to log out from any applications
every after use since it would still consume data if it is not properly
closed. Straight Talk may throttle or reduce your data speed if your data
usage is abnormally high as compared to the usage of other Straight Talk
customers. Email us at TF.CorpResolutionTeam@tracfone.com.
SaraST8: Hi xxnothingpurexx! Sad to know that your data speed had been reduced.
