Did this video help you?

Alan Bolton: Hey Paul, When looking for parts or a replacement I am confused with the options. I have a a Top Z C/D and on the rear plate says Rover 75 JEC 104390 Thermo Top Z Diesel. What other model are comparable. I use this in a boat application for hot water. Thanks

John Shumaker: Thanks for the video.  I bought the Thermo Top C 5kw water heater like the one in the video.  I set up a bench test like the one in the video to test it before I install it in my camper.  When I turn the system on with the control, it takes fresh air into and exhausts it out of the heater, but there is no water circulation.  Do I need to prime the water pump?  Do I also need to prime the fuel system?  I have the hoses immersed in tanks of water and diesel, just like your video. After running for about 5 minutes, the heater automatically quits without ever circulating water or igniting diesel.  The system came prewired with system plugs, labeled "Fuel pump", "12v", etc.  So, I feel like the electronics are correct.  Any suggestions?

Richard Ellis: Hi, looking to add one of these to my camper , any chance you could send me a diagram of wiring ?
ellis307@hotmail.co.uk
Also what vehicle is this off ?

mitchellmoxo: Hi Paul I have been reading online that some of these heaters require the ECU from the engine to run so they can not be run independently. Is there a certain model you buy so that it can work outside the car? I am looking to install one of these into a boat. Thanks

Sander Tel: Hi Paul, If I was to find a device like this (to use just like you are doing in your van), what would you recommend I take with it and remove also from the donor car to make installation life more easy and the use of the heater more practical ??
For my understanding: Is the device switch-able like a central heating system, using any old thermostat ?? Regards, Sander.

SCC 4: @Paul Simon how do you diagnose the unit ? does it have some sort of connector ?

EUROREPAIRS: can u run diesel and petrol in this one.?

Matthew Helliwell: Hi Paul. Can this style of water heater be used in the window cleaning industry? we use 12v shurflow water pumps. Does it ignite when water passes through it? we are constantly stopping and starting the pump whilst cleaning a house. would this effect it? Also can the water temp output be set not to exceed 40c? I'm very interested in this and would be great full for your advice!

dansli26: I always think how to manage the CO2 ratio. what is the best or good value of this parameter. and how to set it properly. Can You explain this or send some manual? Thank You in advance

simplicity946: Hi Paul, please can you tell something about the consumption per hour for water to 60 degree Celsius , how much fuel in litres, thanks in advance

nw8000: Can you give us a spec list of your rig please?

Thanks

John Faulkner: be aware boat safety certificate requires all fuel lines must be metal, like say brake pipe, the rubber or plastic used in cars is no good. It is easy to comply but an added cost.

Alpejohn: How is the co2 adjustment correctly set? I have seen this option in the webasto test software but never tried it myself.. I would think if you raised the bar, it would burn leaner and that might hurt the burner?

Matija Lisičak: Hallo , I also bought this webasto , today I wanted to start him. But it doesn't working . I put 12V + and - on 2 pin connector. On 6 pin connector I put on 1 pin 12 v + for ON and on 6 pin fuelpump. I connected to diagnoctic with K line . When I try to start it , it trows me an error " communication failure on customer specific bus" code 0E/48.
When I went to testing separate fuel pump , ignition coolant fan... then i gor one more error "Mettering pump interuption" fault code 04/44...

Davy Maclean: hi mate any chance you could email me a copy of the webasto software over?

heliguyheliguy: Hi that is a great video Very clear and really helped clear up how the webasto works. I'm still lost with the K-line connection and laptop control/test. Would you consider doing another video on the detail of that or can you recommend a good resource for someone interested in learning more about this.

Sailing Harley Quinn: Looking at possibly getting something similar in my boat in the future. Not sure on the noise though, sounds like a boeing 747 taking off!

Karl Allitt: Thank You Paul. I've now got it up and running.

Karl Allitt: Hi. I've got a thermo top z that will not start. I connect to the battery but nothing happens. I have only five wires coming from the unit. Two of the wires are the power wires which leaves three wires from the 6 pin plug. these wires are pin 1, pin 2 and pin 6. Pin 6 i have been told should connect to the fuel pump with the other wire from the fuel pump connecting to the positive wire from the battery. Is this correct or should the other wire from the fuel pump connect to the negative wire from the battery as the wire from the fuel pump is black? and where do i connect the other wires? should there be more wires? I do have a diagram i found on the internet saying pin 1 is diagnostics, pin 2 is CAN high (optional), pin 3 is CAN low (optional), (Not sure what these are), pin 4 is coolant shut off valve, pin 5 is main switch and as before pin 6 is fuel pump. Do all these wires need to be connected before the unit does anything because I have tried with just the power but i get nothing. Any help?
